So far, I’m very, very pleased with what they’ve offered me.
About this project
Apartments Designed to Make Guests Feel at Home
Penati Golf Resort in Šajdíkove Humence is best known for its golfing facilities. It is also a setting for apartment buildings designed for holiday stays.
We visited Marek at one of these apartment developments.
The apartments were still being completed at the time of our visit. A few interior details and accessories remained to be finished, but the lighting solutions were already in place.
Clean lines, neutral colours and simple materials define the spaces. Here, lighting has an important role: creating a welcoming atmosphere without drawing unnecessary attention to itself.
Finding the Right Balance Between Cost and Quality
When choosing lighting for a private home, owners often follow their personal taste. With apartments intended for rental, the economics of the project also play an important part.
Marek therefore had a clear idea of what he wanted from the lighting.
He was not looking for the most expensive designer fittings, nor was he choosing solely on price. He wanted a solution that balanced cost, quality and practicality.
He described his brief as “finding the right middle ground”.
That was the brief he brought to LEDCO.
Choosing the right lighting was therefore not about one statement piece, but a combination of fittings that work together in living areas, bathrooms, circulation spaces and outdoors.
Simple Design That Works Throughout the Property
Visual consistency between spaces matters in an apartment development.
LEDCO therefore supplied several types of surface-mounted ceiling lights, pendant lights above dining tables and supplementary bathroom lighting.
The selected products include minimalist circular MONO SLIMluminaires, more compact ceiling-mounted ZETA ON M models, as well as linear pendant fittings such as BAR M.
White and black finishes make it possible to match the lighting to each interior while keeping the overall project visually consistent.
The result is understated lighting that fits naturally into a modern accommodation setting.
The Most Interesting Detail Is by the Front Door
After looking around the interior, we stepped out onto the terrace with Marek, who showed us a practical outdoor lighting feature.
At first glance, it is a simple ceiling light. Its advantage is an integrated motion sensor.
Marek explains that this is particularly useful when arriving at the apartment in the evening or at night.
Instead of searching for a switch or installing a separate motion detector, the light responds to movement by the entrance.
“You don’t need an extra sensor. It’s hidden inside the light, and it works really well.”
Details like this show that good lighting is not simply about brightness or appearance.
Often, its greatest benefit is making a space easier to use every day.
Practical Lighting for Outdoor Areas, Too
Outdoor lighting faces additional demands compared with interior installations. As well as delivering the right lighting effect, it needs to withstand the conditions where it is installed.
The project therefore also received anthracite-finish DRUM LED ceiling lights with an IP65 rating, suitable for outdoor use. The selected model has an integrated motion sensor.
The dark, understated housings also complement the architecture, which combines concrete surfaces, timber cladding and dark window and door frames.
The same principle applies here as indoors: lighting should complement the surroundings, not overwhelm them visually.
Satisfaction Starts with Choosing the Right Solution
Although the apartments were still being finished when we visited, Marek could already assess the selection and delivery of the lighting.
His response was unequivocal.
His satisfaction did not come from having the most expensive or technically complicated lighting. What mattered was that LEDCO had understood and met his original brief.
A considered balance of price, design and practicality.
Good lighting is not always about how much you spend. It is about making the right choices.
Lighting Products and Solutions Used in the Project
LEDCO supplied the following lighting solutions for the project:
- LED2 ZETA ON M – compact surface-mounted LED fittings in white and black, with adjustable power and selectable correlated colour temperature.
- LED2 MONO SLIM 40 – minimalist circular ceiling lights used in living areas alongside the larger MONO SLIM 60 model.
- BAR M – linear LED pendant lights selected for the dining areas of the apartments.
- LED2 DRUM – anthracite LED light with an IP65 rating and an integrated sensor, suitable for outdoor entrance areas.
- Backlit LED bathroom mirrors – supplementary bathroom lighting with ambient backlighting at a correlated colour temperature of 4000 K.
The selection shows that even a larger apartment development can be equipped with a thoughtful mix of functional, visually discreet lighting.
