Behind the Light: Custom Lighting Solution for the Nivy Project
For the Nivy project in Bratislava, we designed and supplied a complete lighting solution – from elegant light lines in the shopping centre and technical lighting in the underground station to striking facade effects. Each luminaire was custom-made as part of a unified lighting concept that combines design, functionality and the experience of the space.

The Nivy project in Bratislava combines a modern shopping centre, a major transport hub and high-quality architecture. The architectural design was created by Benoy and Slovak studio Siebert + Talaš, which prepared the project documentation and construction details.
LEDCO designed and supplied a custom lighting solution – creating elegant light lines throughout the retail zones, technical lighting for the underground bus station, and lighting elements for the facade and roof areas. We prepare these solutions in our own workshops and use COLORS NeonFlex strips as part of the unified lighting concept.
Shopping centre: uncompromising custom lighting
The shopping centre features curved ceilings with integrated lighting from the ground floor to the upper levels. The flexible COLORS NeonFlex strips create a continuous lighting effect, precisely follow the architectural lines of the ceilings and reinforce the clean design.
The result is even, glare-free illumination that highlights the shape of the space while providing comfortable light for visitors.
Underground bus station: lighting for function and orientation
We applied an individual approach to lighting in the underground part of the complex. We designed and supplied more than 2,200 original luminaires, with each solution adapted to the specific requirements of the space.
Light lines in the ceilings above the platforms help visitors navigate the station while contributing to the visual identity of the entire zone. We see light as a tool for improving both safety and comfort.
Facade and green roof: architecture with a lighting signature
On the facade, we created linear lighting that becomes a visual signature of the Nivy project after dark. We used COLORS NeonFlex technology to create regular vertical accents.
Lighting on the green roof gently illuminates the relaxation areas and supports an atmosphere suited to spending time outdoors.

Custom-designed lighting technology
Our team works closely with architects, engineers and the client when developing each solution. We take into account the materials, architectural lines and functional requirements of the space. Our lighting systems reduce energy consumption, meet high sustainability requirements and remain visually integrated with the architecture.
The resulting lighting has become part of the project’s identity and makes a significant contribution to its overall atmosphere.
