LED modules for large area backlighting: the new generation of LEDcoMatrix® and LEDcoRoll®
LED modules for backlighting large surfaces have become an essential element of modern interior and architectural lighting. With the new LEDcoMatrix® and LEDcoRoll® systems, backlighting ceilings, walls, and display areas is now easier, more powerful, and highly energy-efficient.
LEDcoMatrix® – precise modular backlighting
LEDcoMatrix® is a linear system developed for surface backlighting of ceilings with Barrisol stretch foils. It is ideal where there is 10–15 cm of space available from the diffuser and where light uniformity, long service life and easy maintenance are important.
- Easy installation – using screws, no soldering, with WAGO connectors
- Modular grid – customisable (e.g. 100×100 mm, 150×150 mm)
- High performance – up to 900 lm / 5.9 W, efficiency ~150 lm/W
- Available versions – 3000 K, 4000 K, 5500 K
- CRI > 80, passive cooling, no aluminium required
Where is LEDcoMatrix® most suitable?
The ideal solution for hotel lobbies, reception areas, galleries and designer ceilings. The surface can be printed with a logo, graphic or photograph to create unique branding.
Hassle-free installation
Everything is screwed together, no soldering required. The 5 cm spacing between the nuts determines the positions of the LED modules, which are connected via WAGO terminals. Power is supplied via a screw connection – quickly and reliably.
Technically sophisticated
24 V DC system with uniform current, excellent thermal management, PWM dimming option and long LED chip life.
Light output
Up to 18,000 lm/m² with 50 mm spacing between LED modules. Can be reduced as needed: 9000 or 5400 lm/m² with sparser placement.
LEDcoRoll® – flexibility and wide-angle optics
When you need to illuminate from a short distance or backlight a complex shape, LEDcoRoll® is the right choice. The wide beam angle (160°) ensures diffuse light even at a distance of only 50 mm.
- 160° optics – ideal for diffuse surfaces
- Solderless installation – just connect the cable
- Luminous flux: 480 lm / 4.5 W
- Available versions: 3000 K and 4000 K
- IP20 / IP44, also suitable for damp environments
